VOUCHED hopes to reimagine the Section 8 or Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) process through a new visual format that helps to break various barriers to individuals that wish to participate. This pamphlet acts as a visual roadmap to the HCV process, including key application requirements and visual infographics showing resources and agencies that assist with the process.
This project is graciously funded by People's Liberty, a philanthropic lab based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Their Project Grant program provides an opportunity for individuals to implement innovative community development projects throughout the greater Cincinnati area.
Priyanka Sen is a designer, historian, and educator with an expertise in architecture. Her passion for affordable housing and community service first emerged during her time as a CommonwealthCorps member in Boston, where she worked as a social housing assistant at a nonprofit that helped place homeless individuals with HIV/AIDS into safe, stable housing situations. Sen is currently an adjunct faculty member in the School of Architecture and Interior Design in the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning at the University of Cincinnati and is a project designer at SHP in Cincinnati.
